Sponsorship Guidelines
Applying for a Dialog Sports Sponsorship
Thank you for considering Dialog as a partner in your venture.
As you can imagine, we receive lots of great ideas about how we can get involved in the world of sport, entertainment and culture. It is indeed a great pleasure to be involved, and to make sure our contributions are effective, we like to ask for a standard set of information. This helps us make an informed decision about the value your venture offers Dialog and our customers.
As a starting point, here’s some information that will assist in determining whether your opportunity might be right for Dialog.
Does your sponsorship enable us to
Bring the Dialog brands to life in a fun, savvy, passionate and strong way
Distinguish our brands from our competitors and other sponsors
Act as a showcase for our products and services
Does your sponsorship reach our target audience?
In broad terms we’re looking to interact and promote Dialog to 18 – 45 year olds who are:
Confident
Enjoying life
Tech savvy
Youthful physically or at heart
Opinion leaders
We will not get involved in
If there is any other telecom company getting involved or already is involved.
If we don’t get pure branding. This has no value if we’re stuck in the middle of dozens of other sponsor messages
and customers don’t see a specific reason for Dialog’s involvement.
One-off events that don’t offer opportunities to interact with consumers
International events (outside Sri Lanka)
Sponsoring individuals
What we need from you
Your proposal should include:
Name, details and credentials of your organization
Name, Contact Number and Email of a specific contact person
Description of the event or project for which sponsorship is sought
Place of the event
Timeline for the project
A profile of the target audience
Details of other confirmed sponsors involved in the project
Media partners and details of their confirmed commitments
Details of all on-going main media exposure such as television, newspapers or radio promotion
Level of sponsorship sought (i.e. Principal, Co-sponsor, Supplier) and how many other sponsors are being sought
Sponsorship amount requested (Cash and/or in-kind)
Expected participation/attendance/viewing numbers
Most importantly, please include those really different, exciting ideas that will differentiate Dialog and make our involvement relevant to the audience.

Please note that Dialog’s financial year is April 1 to March 31. Proposals should be submitted prior to December to be considered for the coming year’s sponsorship plan.
We endeavour to respond to your proposal within 2 weeks of receipt.
