Proof Of Billing

Option 1 (Own Address)

This is the default option, where the customer produces bills to their own address. In this case the customer is living in his own residence. The following are acceptable proof of billing address

  • Utility Bills Validity 6 months
  • Bank Statements – Current Account or Credit card Statements
  • Address stated on the Savings account pass with transactions within the last six months. Note: DTL will not be accepting Bank Savings Account (Pass Book) details as POB at all Business partners (Main Dealers). CS Outlets & Franchise Outlets will continue as per the normal procedure.
  • SLT Suntel Internet bills
  • Registered Post Letter in the name of the Applicant (Received within the last 3 months)
  • Address of Insurance Certificate / Premium Notice (Within 3 months)
  • Cable TV Statements – DTV, LBN & Multi Vision
  • Tax payee invoice (Received by post) with address (Within 6 months)
  • CDS Account Statement used for trading of shares
  • Vehicle owners registrations books
  • NRFC account statements- (Sent every quarter)
  • G S Certificate to be considered – Only at CS outlets (Cs counters only)
  • For recognized Corporates –Company Request Letter with address
  • Letter from Govt. Institutions (Letter Head)
  • Letter from recognized NGOs (Letter Head)
  • Company – BRC, which contains the address or the Business registration receiptwhich contains the address.

Registrations of companies not recognized as corporates BRC to be submitted (Validity 3 months)
Any Other – Case by Case basis approved by frontline supervisor or above

Option 2 (Deviation From 1)

If the address on the customer’s NIC / Driving license tally’s with the address which the customer claims to be his present Billing address, we could accept as a valid POB document. There is no need for any additional documents to be attached. However in this instance we need to explain to the customer that in the event the bill returns, immediate disconnection will take place and will be reconnected only once the customer provides us (Billing dept) with a different option of Billing documentation. (A clear NIC/Driving License copy should be submitted as POB with the legible address on it. Unclear copies that has been counter signed by respective sales person will NOT be accepted as POB).

Option 3 (Recommendation)

  • Letter of Recommendation from Customer or Dialog Employee
  • Recommendation letter from any CV Customer (Gold / Silver)
  • Signatures should tally
  • Letter should confirm the billing address of the subscriber.
  • Recommendation letter from Dialog Employee (Manager or above).
  • Letter should confirm the billing address of the subscriber.
  • Signature should tally

Option 4 (Reference)

Parent / Sibling / Spouse is a Dialog customer we could use the mobile number as a reference number for POB

  • Letter of consent / No objection letter to be given by the relevant individual.
  • Signatures should tally.
  • The connection status of the reference number should be C” at the time the number is considered as a reference number.
  • Validity – 6 Months

Parent / Sibling / Spouse is not a Dialog Customer.

  • The POB of the above could be accepted provided the NIC / Passport address & Surname of the subscriber should tally with that of the Parent / Sibling / Spouse POB.
  • Letter of consent / No objection letter to be given to be given by the relevant individual
  • Validity – 6 Months

Option 5 (Employer)

Employer’s billing address to be utilized

  • Letter of consent to be provided by the employer confirming the number of months / years in the company or Letter of appointment
  • Copy of employee ID card.
  • The subscriber should be employed at least 3 months in the company for the above option to be valid.

Option 6 (Landlord)

Landlord’s Address to be considered; in the event customers are on rent.

  • POB of Land Lord – Validity 6 months
  • Letter of consent from Land Lord
  • Copy of Lease agreement

Option 7 (Deposit)

POB deposit can be kept

  • For Local cx – A POB deposit of Rs 1000/- to be kept apart from the LCD Deposit.
  • For Foreigners – POB deposit Rs. 10000/- (If POB cannot be produced)

If customer has kept POB deposit he/she will be granted a credit limit for a value of LCD + POB
If customer is purchasing the connection by keeping a POB deposit he/she will not be eligible for the company provided credit limit for the first six months.

Cannot be kept

  • Activate the connection on WCP category and Credit limit 0.
  • Subjected to one month verification via welcome letter / Courier and two months monitoring. 3 Months in total.
  • Thereafter will be converted to the normal category.
