  • Ensure that you have sufficient credit on your phone before leaving the country since the Roaming services will be barred once you reach your credit limit. You may also temporarily enhance or lower your credit limit using the budget setter feature even while you are roaming. Simply dial #103*5# or activate the feature via the MyDialog App .
  • Check if all your roaming services (Voice/Data) are activated on your mobile.
  • Make sure to carry a 3G/4G compatible SIM and a device. Insert your Dialog SIM into the 3G SIM card slot (slot no. 1) and have your network mode on ‘Auto’ or ‘WCDMA’. Please click here to see which countries require compatible handsets.
  • If you are using a 4G network, make sure to activate the VOLTE service via your device’s settings. You are also required to keep the Data Roaming service in an active status to use 4G and VOLTE services while roaming.
  • In order to use Data Roaming without any interruption within the visiting country, check whether your device carries the correct APN setting (Access Point Name).
  • Activate a Data Roaming Plan that fits your needs as it will help you control your usage and avoid any bill shock.

Economical Tips for Data Roaming

  • If you are a smartphone user, set any updates which are automatically activated over the internet to the manual activation mode in order to avoid unforeseen internet expenses.
  • Disable any auto updates for Windows or anti-virus software on your phone or laptop.
  • Cancel all conditional call divert/forward options prior to departure.
  • Always activate an auto keypad lock to avoid accidental calls/SMS.

FAQ

You will be able to make & receive calls, send SMS & use Data while on an airplane & cruise ship. As the in-flight & cruise ship network availability depends on the aircraft/ ship, we cannot guarantee the coverage you will receive when using the in-flight or at sea Data Roaming service. You will be notified via SMS of the network availability.
