The current satellite (IS-904) we use will be decommissioned and, we will start migrating our broadcast services to a brand new satellite (IS-38) with effect from 29th January 2019.

No, You don’t need to keep the television switched ON. You need to Keep only the Dialog decoder switched ON and tuned to Dialog Now, Channel no. 1.

You will not be able to receive the broadcast as standard and may experience the below errors on screen.

  • E52 - 32 or E-48-32.
  • No video on some channels.
  • Duplication of channel numbers.
  • Black and white video (No colour).

  • Step 1 - Tune your decoder to Dialog Now, Channel no. 1.
  • Step 2 (Software update) - Type RESCAN (space) Dialog TV account number and SMS to 679 from a Dialog mobile or SMS to 0770 679 679 from any other mobile network.
    *Please note that sending the SMS only one time would be sufficient.
  • Step 3 (Factory reset) – Once step 2 has been completed, type FR (space) Dialog TV account number and SMS to 679 from a Dialog mobile or SMS to 0770 679 679 from any other mobile network.

Black and white video (No colour).

  • Step 1 - Tune your decoder to Dialog Now, Channel no. 1.

Yes, having a working remote control will be helpful and assist you to easily manage all functions of your Dialog TV connection.

New satellite will be directly pointed at Sri Lanka and it will provide a stronger signal. Coverage will be up to the 50.4 line shown in the below map.

These channels will be impacted mostly on the given dates and specially if Customer has not updated the decoder Software
