Dialog Schools Rugby Awards 2023 Felicitates Sri Lanka's Young Rugby Stars

Dialog powers Sri Lanka Junior Netballers

Dialog Axiata PLC, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Association, felicitated the Schools Rugby champions of Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 schools at the Dialog Schools Rugby Awards 2023, which took place recently at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. This year, over 70 schools, divided into three divisions, engaged in exhilarating matches in the Dialog Schools Rugby League, which is the most followed school sports tournament in the country.

The occasion not only celebrated the talented youth but also Dialog's unwavering commitment to Powering the Champions of Tomorrow. In line with this mission, Dialog supported all schools that competed in the top and lower leagues with the aim of nurturing young talent across Sri Lanka with the potential to play in the club league and eventually represent Sri Lanka.

St. Peter's College, Colombo, secured the highest prize on offer by winning the Championship in the Division I Segment ‘A,’ while Royal College, Colombo, was adjudged the Runner-up of the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2023. Thurstan College, Wariyapola Sri Sumangala College, Sri Rahula College, and Sri Sumangala College were felicitated as Champions of Division 1 Segment B and C

Royal College (Panadura), Ibbagamuwa Central College, President’s College Rajagiriya and D.B.Welagedara Central College were felicitated as Champions of Division 2 Segment A and B, While Madeena College, Haliela Maha Vidyalaya, Sujatha Maha Vidyalaya, Haddaththewa Secondary School were awarded Champions of Division 3 Group 1 to 4.

The event was attended by the players of all the winning schools, principals, masters-in-charge, coaches, and well-wishers.
