How to send an SMS while roaming?

Method I – Sending Directly

Example – Sending an SMS to Sri Lanka while roaming in Australia.

Enter number as : +94 xxx xxx xxx

Method II – SMS Home * (Sending SMS’s via USSD)

SMS Sri Lanka at an affordable rate. You can SMS any Sri Lankan number at the cost of LKR 5.00 + Tax (upto 140 characters).

SMS Home Code - * # 1 0 1 * 94 xxx xxx xxx #

How to send SMS’s using SMS home:

Example – Sending SMS to our Roaming hot line 0 7 7 7 9 9 7 7 9 9 while roaming.

Dial: * # 1 0 1 * + 9 4 7 7 7 9 9 7 7 9 9 #

USSD Call / SMS

The last five called/SMS numbers by customers would be automatically saved to simplify staying in touch with family and friends.

Note:

>  After dialing the Sri Lankan number using the above method, the new message screen will pop-up in a few seconds, then you need to type your SMS within 40 seconds & send it.

>  This feature is network-dependent & is not supported by all networks and in all countries. If you face any difficulties in using this facility, then please perform a manual network search & switch to a different operator.

> Please Note: The SMS center number on your SMS settings should always be the local Dialog SMS Center number, which is +9477000003.
