Frequently asked questions
Dialog is not discontinuing the 2G network at this stage. However, older 2G SIM cards are being phased out as they are outdated. Upgrading to a new 4G SIM ensures better network compatibility, enhanced security, and access to improved services.
Changing from a 2G SIM to a 4G SIM is important because 4G gives you a more secure mobile connection, with better protection against risks such as interception, fraud, and fake network activity that older 2G technology is more vulnerable to. It also helps you safely access important digital services such as online banking, QR payments, and government apps. Upgrading your SIM will not stop you from using your current mobile plans and your existing handset from accessing the network.
