Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's #1 connectivity provider, has partnered with the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs as the Official Digital Partner for the National Vesak Zone 2026 in Matara. As part of the partnership, Dialog has launched the National AI Vesak Greeting Card Competition 2026, powered by Dialog 5G Ultra, enabling communities nationwide to creatively celebrate Vesak through next-generation connectivity and AI-powered experiences.

The competition invites participants across Sri Lanka to create and submit AI-generated Vesak greeting cards using Dialog AI or any AI-powered platform from 21 May to 1 June 2026. Ten winners will stand a chance to receive Dialog A76 5G smartphones, encouraging wider participation and digital creativity among individuals of all ages. Shortlisted AI-generated Vesak greeting cards will be displayed at the Matara Vesak Zone, with QR codes allowing visitors to download and use the cards. Through the initiative, Dialog 5G Ultra will showcase how advanced connectivity enables seamless access to AI tools and real-time content creation, while bridging tradition with technology during one of Sri Lanka’s most significant cultural and religious celebrations.

Dialog will also offer an immersive VR experience powered by Dialog 5G, giving visitors a virtual tour of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Atamasthana, the eight sacred Buddhist sites in Anuradhapura, further blending religious heritage with technology. In addition, the company will offer free mobile data to visitors at the National Vesak Zone in Matara through Dialog’s Data Dansala, powered by its pioneering QR reload platform, with the initiative also extended to the Bauddhaloka Vesak Zone and Gangaramaya Vesak Zone.

Commenting on the partnership, Hon. Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi (M.P.), Minister Of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, said, “The Ministry is pleased to partner with Dialog for the National Vesak Zone 2026 through initiatives that bring together religious heritage, creativity and technology.
